The garter stitch was the hardest to fix, but with Fix A Stitch For Knitters you can do it quickly and easily. The Fix A Stitch package comes with three sizes. There is one that will most likely fit your project. This can also be used for drop stitches on a knitting machine.<\/p>\n

Fix-A-Stitch Front of the Work Method<\/h3>\n

  1. Turn the work so the\u00a0next bar<\/em>\u00a0is in the rear, making it a\u00a0knit bar<\/em><\/li>\n
  2. Insert the Fix-A-Stitch into the\u00a0existing stitch<\/em>\u00a0and move the stitch away from the end closest to the fabric, leaving the end available<\/li>\n
  3. With the end of the Fix-A-Stitch that is closest to the fabric, grab the\u00a0knit bar<\/em>\u00a0from below<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  4. Using a slight twisting motion, pull the knit bar through the loop that is already on the Fix-A-Stitch, creating a new\u00a0\u201cexisting stitch.\u201d\u00a0YOU HAVE NOW EXECUTED A KNIT.<\/strong><\/em><\/li>\n
  5. Slide the end of the Fix-A-Stitch that is closest to the fabric underneath the\u00a0purl bar<\/em>.<\/li>\n
  6. Continue drawing the Fix-A-Stitch away from you until you have drawn the\u00a0existing stitch<\/em>\u00a0under and behind the purl bar.<\/li>\n
  7. Keeping the Fix-A-Stitch horizontal to your work, raise the Fix-A-Stitch and orient the Fix-A-Stitch so the hook is facing downward and is hovering over the\u00a0purl bar<\/em>.<\/li>\n
  8. From above, latch\u00a0purl bar<\/em>\u00a0with the Fix-A-Stitch and flip the Fix-A-Stitch on end .<\/li>\n
  9. The hook is now facing upward and is holding\u00a0THE NEWLY CREATED PURL STITCH.<\/strong><\/li>\n
  10. You are now in position to knit the next stitch using your Fix-A-Stitch<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
